We've said it before and we'll say it again. We are not very good at home, err- I mean van-improvement projects.
We can spend 24 hours a day together for three months without arguing and we can navigate roads we've never driven using only a tiny map without arguing.
However, the mere thought of cabinet doors, saw blades, hinges and screws make us lose our minds. So when we started to personalize the inside of the van we immediately became terrible humans.
Is it just us? Please tell us we aren't alone on this.
I mean who can be in a good mood after 7 trips to the hardware store in 3 days?
We were really hoping that this blog could showcase the finished product, but if you haven't guessed by the first couple of paragraphs, it is not.
We have good news and bad news.
The bad news: You don't get to see the finished product because we haven't even seen the finished product.
The good news: You get to read another fabulous blog about our van! :)
Without further ado, here's the progress photos...
BEFORE:
AFTER... BUT STILL NOT DONE!
As you can see, we've decided to paint our cabinets white. We wanted to brighten up the space and make it feel bigger. Sometimes 50 square feet can feel kinda cramped, weird right?
We also added cabinet doors to hide all our stuff. Just like houses have closets, we too want to hide what stuff we do have. :)
Finally, we are adding some new shelves to the side of the cabinets closet to the door. These shelves will hold our everyday items - toothbrushes, cooking/eating utensils, etc. And we can't wait to show you the final product because we are adding a fun pop of color to them!
Please cross your fingers and send us kind words so that we can finish it this week and are still friends!
Until next time...
